Private Dive Guides & Private Dive Guiding
A Valuable Service
Private guides generally have very good orientation on a dive site, and are well educated on its marine life. They are often dismissed by certified divers as not necessary.
However, a Private Dive Guide can bring many advantages to your day. The most important one being that you are guaranteed to have someone look out for you and/or your family, instead of a boat-operator dive guide spreading their concern over additional divers in the same group.
If you're an underwater photographer you'll also appreciate your own private dive guide so that you can take the time needed to shoot the photos that are really worth hanging around for. With standard dive guides, you generally dont get the time you need as they have a set route and schedule.
ScubaGuards has always offered Private Dive Guides, both in Phuket, and internationally.

Example Cost
If you have 3 people in your group, and each has to pay 3,200 THB for a daytrip to King Cruiser, the total fee (excluding dive gear) is 9,600 THB. Your private dive guide would cost 75% of (1 x 3,200 THB), not 75 % of (3 x 3,200 THB). Costing : 2,400 THB.
Note: Rental of dive gear does not affect the private dive guide cost.
Restrictions Apply
The point of a private guide is to give you, and/or your family, personal service.
We therefore recommend a maximum of 4 customers per Private Guide. If there are more than 4 customers in a group, we encourage you to consider a second private guide.
How To Book Your Private Dive Guide
Simply select your daytrip or liveaboard online and select one of optional private guiding options during the booking process.
